Prior to retiring with disability due to Alzheimer’s Disease, Bob was the Vice President of Product Management at Audinate, providing strategic product planning and is responsible for the product development lifecycle for Audinate’s Dante Audio and Video over IP products. Dante is the standard for Professional Audio and Video distribution and management and is designed into over 2800 products from 450 OEM customers. Bob interacts with customers regularly in order to define new products and product features, develop new markets and channels, and deliver innovation to the Pro AV market.
Prior to this Bob was the Vice President of Business Development for RGB Spectrum. In this role Bob is focused on strategy, channel and partner development for the security, transportation, and medical markets. Bob has a rich history of control room solution design for customers in these vertical markets. Bob was previously the Vice President of Marketing for RGB Spectrum and was responsible for both product management and marketing, with a customer-centric focus on developing strategic product roadmaps. He oversaw and directed RGB Spectrum’s award-winning training program, which provides valuable, industry-leading instruction to our partners and customers. In addition, he defined and managed RGB Spectrum’s brand within our target vertical markets.
Bob has also been the founder and CEO of HauteSpot Networks, an innovator in Wireless Mesh technologies for IP Video Surveillance. HauteSpot delivered mesh routers optimized for streaming in 2005 and continued to develop this technology through 2017 with customers such as Convergint, G4S, JCI, the US Army, DHS, Saudi Aramco, and Jamaican Defense Force. Bob and HauteSpot holds numerous patents and trademarks pertaining to wireless, embedded surveillance, and mobile technologies.
Bob has held positions in Marketing and Product Line Management with Performance Technologies, Intel and Ziatech. Bob also has a long history of success in Information Technology and General Management roles having served as CIO with Inktomi Corporation; Director of Information Technology with PeopleSoft, Intrepid Systems, and American President Lines.
With over 25 years of information technology, network, video over IP and wireless technology experience, Bob is a leading authority on networked video surveillance. He holds BS degrees in Business Administration, International Business, and Marketing, a MBA, and a MS in Industrial Engineering, as well as a professional certification in Telecommunications Management. Bob also holds certifications as a MSCE, CCNE, and has been the past president and founder of the Certified Network Engineer Association of Sri Lanka. Bob has taught courses at ISE, IBC, ISC West, ASIS, APCO, IWCE, SBE/NAB, IACP, Infocomm, and other trade shows and professional symposiums.
Bob lives in Arizona with his partner Charlotte, his two dogs and one cat.
